Faith Lutheran Church was established to provide worship opportunities and Christian education in the Morningside Park area of Inglewood, California in 1953. The large brick structure with lighted bell tower, invites the community to worship. Our focus on Word and Sacrament every week has sustained us and drawn us close to God and to each other. Our friendly members hold hands at the communion rail as a reminder of love and forgiveness in the meal Christ gave us.
The beautiful stained glass windows depict the message of salvation to those who observe. Six elongated panels depict the life of Jesus. A set of small square windows are the parables and teachings of Jesus. The very large window above the entrance is called the Christus Rex window, and symbolicly reminds us that Christ will return as King of all and receive His faithful people into eternity. This large window reflects from the marble wall above the altar, its brilliance during the days adds to the sensuality of worship.
The three console pipe organ is a marvelously sounding instrument which magnifies the Lord. An electronic piano and other instrumentation add variety to the musical needs of the people.
Banners representing various parts of the church year and events in the life of the congregation have been sewn by members over the last 30 years and are a regular part of our worship.
The entrance to the sanctuary is at 3320 West 83rd Street. Parking is available on 85th Street and 11th Avenue, or in our lot accessible from the alley.
